Carrying forward the legacy of “Swachha Bharat Abhiyan”, Lotus Eco Beach Resort Konark celebrated Eco-Friendly Diwali this year by organising a silent rally on 26th October 2019 encouraging people to stop noise and air pollution by avoiding firecrackers and explosives. Mr. Bharat Bhusan Biswal, GM Lotus Eco Beach Resort Konark, along with the team members and many international guests, guided and executed the entire rally by making an eco appeal on media to stop the use of firecrackers. “It was an honour for us being the part of such a noble social campaign under the banner of “Swachha Bharat Abhiyan”- said Mr. Biswal.
On the same day a drawing competition on the Eco-Friendly Diwali theme was well organised among the school students at IOCL Interpretation Centre Campus from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
Mr. Biswal distributed the prizes to the winners of the competition and felicitated all the participants. He also explained the importance of “Swachha Bharat Abhiyan” and encouraged students to "Say No to Crackers" and spread the awareness of eco-friendly Diwali celebration.
